The former Comedy Café building on Brady Street could become a new arcade bar and restaurant. Des Moines, Iowa residents Joshua Ivey and Sam Summers are planning to open Up-Down MKE at 615 E. Brady St. Inside of Up-Down in Des Moines taken from Facebook page. The two have filed a liquor license with the city of Milwaukee and plan on opening the bar in February. Ivey started Up-Down in 2011 in Des Moines. He has since expanded to Minneapolis and Kansas City. According to its website , the bar features more than 40 arcade games from the 1980s and 1990s, pinball machines, skee-ball, Nintendo and Sega console gaming , life-size Jenga and connect four. All games are 25 cents. MECHANICVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – As water woes continue for some Mechanicville neighbors, the Department of Public Works is flushing fire hydrants to see if that will help clear up the brown color. Now going on weeks with brown water, Dawson Vanderveen is still making frequent walks to the store to pick up jugs of water. “I would still drink the bottled water until they actually find out what’s going on.” He showed NEWS10 ABC how discolored the water still is in his apartment, even after the Department of Public Works sent out a letter declaring the water safe. Vanderveen isn’t buying it. “It’s definitely not normal and not healthy like I wish they could find out what’s going on soon.” On Tuesday, there was a new effort from the DPW to solve the problem. EDEN, N.C. (AP) - Authorities say a North Carolina police officer shot and wounded a suspect fleeing the scene of a double stabbing. Eden Police Department Capt . John Edwards tells local news outlets that officers and Rockingham County sheriff 's deputies responded at 2:30 p.m. Thursday to a reported assault at an apartment complex. Officers had been told that a 44-year-old woman and a 7-year-old child had been stabbed. A man suspected in the stabbings had fled on foot. Edwards says officers found the suspect on a nearby street and that officers shot him during the confrontation. He was airlifted to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. The stabbing victims were treated at a local hospital . Edwards says the woman, child and stabbing suspect all survived their injuries. No other information was immediately released.

The Cary Town Council on Thursday reached a deal with a local apartment complex to replace buffer vegetation that workers cut down earlier this year, prompting a $70,184 fine from the town. Cary fines violators of its buffer rules $2 to $4 per square foot based on the amount of damage documented. In April, the town fined Amberwood Apartments for damaging more than 17,546 square feet of vegetation at the corner of Piney Plains Road and Southeast Cary Parkway . The incident outraged some residents, including a Cary councilman who said he wanted the management group to “feel the wrath” of the town. Amberwood representatives initially disputed the town’s violation report, saying it contained inaccuracies and that Cary was trying to make an example of the complex. The deal approved Thursday requires Amberwood to deposit $40,000 into an escrow account, where it will stay until Cary says that new trees and shrubs have been planted in accordance with its revegetation plan. GARFIELD - A 2-year-old Maltese stolen from a Leonia home after a Tinder date was found safe in a Garfield animal shelter . Leonia police say that photos of “Maggie” were posted on a Facebook group for missing dogs and tips came in that the dog was found by a Garfield resident. That resident took “Maggie” to the local animal shelter . She has now been reunited with her owners. Police say that the dog was stolen when the 18-year-old house sitter invited a man that she met on the dating app Tinder over to the home. That man arrived with a friend. Police say that the friend stole the dog, as well as a laptop computer and an Amazon package while the house sitter was distracted. Police say that the two men have been identified and that they are actively looking for them. ADDISON -- Two male victims were shot and killed as they drove near Town Central Park in Addison, IL around 1 p.m. Saturday, according to police. It all started in broad daylight at Denice Court and Elizabeth Drive, police said, when shots were fired at the car, hitting both males. The car crashed into a tree. The two victims were taken to area hospitals where they were pronounced dead. Their names have not been released yet. Neighbors expressed dismay over a shooting taking place in the middle of the day, near several apartment buildings and not far from a strip mall. Addison police said they believed the shooting was targeted and did not pose a larger threat to the community. Addison police say they're tracking several leads and ask anyone with information to call them.
