The construction was opposed by neighbors who complained of noise, crime and unruly behavior at several hundred apartments built in recent years. In unanimous votes, commissioners rejected proposals to add 630 apartments to the existing 750 at the Quadrangle, a development of business, offices and apartments just outside UCF. ``I can't believe it - I'm absolutely floored,'' said Sue Eberle, who lives near the Quadrangle and helped lead opposition to apartment expansion. ``I always had hope, but this is beyond anything I had hoped for.'' Arapahoe County Foundation fund for Southview Apartment Fire Victims established LITTLETON , CO — A fund has been established through the Arapahoe County Foundation to assist victims of the Southview Place Towers Apartments fire that occurred on April 6 in the 5800 block of S. Windermere St. More than 130 senior citizens have been displaced by the fire and although all are now in housing, the crisis is far from over and many of the current housing solutions are temporary. Residents were informed this week that their leases will be terminated and they will not be able to return to their apartments due to smoke and asbestos damage. Additionally, some residents were told that they must pack and move all of their furnishings and belongings within the next 10 days, and others were told that they could never retrieve their items due to contamination. CHESTERFIELD, MO. (KMOX) – Chesterfield planning commissioners meet Monday and on their agenda is the fate of a longtime mobile home park in the upscale west county community . A proposed luxury apartment complex called ‘The Villages at Bonhomme Creek ’ is proposed for the site, on Old Chesterfield Road near Wild Horse Creek road . After Holland City Council approved an affordable housing development earlier this year, developer General Capital could not secure funding through the Michigan State Housing Development Authority , and Reliable Sports owner Ken Vos sold to another buyer who wants to keep the business open. Vos confirmed that the building is under contract to be sold in a sale that will be finalized at the end of September. The building located at 254 S. River Ave. was sold in July. Vos declined to share who the new owner will be, but said they "are a prominent figure in downtown Holland ." He still plans to retire, and a retirement sale is underway at the store.
