UNION SPRINGS, Ala. (AP) — A missing Alabama woman found alive after surviving for weeks in the woods is lucky to have survived and is back home with her family recovering, police said Wednesday. Lisa Theris, 25, of Louisville was covered in scrapes and bug bites and dropped as much as 50 pounds to her current of 110 pounds during the ordeal, said Sgt. Chad Faulkner of the Bullock County Sheriff ’s Office. “She was in really, really bad shape,” Faulkner said. Sheriff Raymond Rodgers  tells WSFA-TV  that Theris was lost in the woods of southeast Alabama for almost one month. She was found Saturday walking along a highway outside of Union Springs, located about 45 miles (70 km) from Montgomery. Rodgers said Theris survived by drinking water from a brook and eating berries and mushrooms. The letter to Kushner Companies came in response to a May 23 article co-published by ProPublica and The New York Times Magazine investigating management practices at the rental complexes, most of which are in the suburbs of Baltimore, as well as an article this week in The Baltimore Sun that revealed additional details . Michael Roy Nelson, 46, was convicted of a misdemeanor assault charge and received a stay of adjudication for a felony terroristic threat charge stemming from an April 10, 2016, incident in which he attacked his son and father. He was sentenced Monday , Aug. 21, by Pennington County District Court Judge Kurt Maben . Nelson was initially charged with two counts of attempted arson, a felony, but those charges were dropped as part of a plea agreement. A stay of adjudication is not a conviction, but means the case is pending while Nelson is on probation. The charge will be dismissed if he makes it through a five- year probation period . Nelson will be allowed to serve his 90-day sentences in two 45-day periods, court records show , and can spend 30 days of the sentence on house arrest. Witnesses told police Nelson used a match to light an ether can and spray flames at his son, which lit his son's sweatshirt on fire. Alto Partners bought the long- vacant John Hartness Brown complex on Euclid Avenue for $9.1 million, in a deal that sprang from a messy foreclosure fight . The developer, a relative newcomer to the Cleveland real estate market , expects to fill the buildings with apartments, a hotel, retail and parking. Construction could start during the first few months of 2018. MOUNT VERNON — A fourth suspect in the Aug. 1 shooting death of a Mount Vernon man was arrested Monday afternoon in Kennewick. The U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force , in conjunction with the Benton County Sheriff ’s Office, arrested the man at 2:30 p.m. in the 3300 block of West Fourth Street , Mount Vernon Police Lt . Chris Cammock said. He is one of four people arrested in connection with the death of 38-year-old Jason Boyes. Advertisement The man was arrested without incident and will be held on a second- degree murder charge , Cammock said. The others being held in connection with Boyes’ death are Isaac Manuel Carrasco Jr ., 21; Hayden John Allen Picaman , 19; and Angel Lopez-Rueda, 18. All pleaded not guilty Aug. 10 to one count each of second-degree murder. Carrasco and Picaman are both being held on $1 million bond. Lopez-Rueda is being held on $500,000.
