Sudbury man's quick thinking helps contain apartment fire
Tense moments in Sudbury on Monday evening after a fire broke out in the city's west end. It happened on Victoria Street off Regent Street on the second floor of a house containing seven units. Fire officials say the apartment superintendent noticed smoke and flames coming from one of the units, and managed to extinguish the fire before it spread. "I was sitting at home and the fire alarm went off," said Alain Labrecque, apartment superintendent . "(I) saw smoke and then I went in the hallway and saw a bunch of smoke and I opened up the unit. The unit was full of smoke. There were two doors, (I) went to one door couldn't see anything, so (I) went to the other door then I saw the flames and there was a fan that fell down.
