ARA Colorado Reports Sale of 660-Units at Windrock and Stone Canyon Apartment Communities

PARKER, CO - Atlanta-headquartered ARA, the largest privately held , full- service investment advisory brokerage firm in the nation focusing exclusively on the multihousing industry, recently brokered the sale of the Windrock and Stone Canyon apartment communities , in Parker, CO. Cincinnati—2013 was a good year for the Cincinnati apartment market , as the city experienced an increase in demand thanks to improving employment , income growth and a swelling millennial population . According to Marcus & Millichap, 600 apartments were delivered last year, vacancies dropped to 4.5 percent—the lowest year-end level in years—and average rents were fast approaching $800 per month. And the commercial real estate brokerage firm expects Cincinnati ’s apartment market to perform the same this year. Forbes recently reported that Cincinnati is the third most affordable city in the United States. Although the median price for a new home in the area was set at around $133,000, the rental market was still the top performer last year. City appointee with TowneBank ties says he shouldn't have voted on a project financed by the bank | Local Government

VIRGINIA BEACH A Development Authority member who owns stock in TowneBank and serves on its regional advisory board said he should not have voted on a project that is seeking a city incentive to build a parking garage . Michael Levinson voted July 18 to approve CityView Two, a $60. 5 million development that includes apartments, offices, a hotel and parking garage off Constitution Drive and Bonney Road near Town Center. TowneBank would finance the project. In a 7-0 vote, the Development Authority supported returning $10.2 million in real estate taxes to its developer, Ripley Heatwole Co. Inc., for a privately operated parking garage that would provide public spaces . Councilman John Moss raised concerns about Levinson’s vote and his connections to TowneBank.
