According to ARA, the buyer was Bethesda, Md.- based Railfield Realty Partners , a multifamily investment firm that focuses on markets in Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas. ARA Senior Managing Director Wink Ewing and Executive Managing Directors Mike Marshall and Drew White represented the seller, California- based Fairfield Courthouse Green LLC . That revelation, plus the fact the street could be closed for up to 12 weeks during stadium construction and renovation of the Prince Charles Hotel , were part of a baseball update and web portal unveiling at the Greater Fayetteville Chamber . City leaders discussed details on the impact of construction downtown and introduced three committees connected to the stadium project. More than 50 people jammed the chamber’s conference room on Maxwell Street. Over the course of about 60 minutes, officials from the chamber, the city and the Houston Astros shared details on how downtown may be altered during and after construction of the $33 million stadium and surrounding private projects . The German grocer Lidl opened its tenth North Carolina store Thursday in Thomasville, about 70 miles northeast of Charlotte. With several other locations under construction nearby, readers keep asking: When will Lidl finally open in Charlotte? The grocer, which boasts low prices similar to Aldi’s, is wrapping up construction on stores in Rock Hill, Indian Land and Gastonia – all locations that should open within a few months. When I asked Lidl again Thursday about the openings, the grocer didn’t offer any specifics. Lidl also won’t say why construction seems to have halted completely on a South Boulevard site . The Latest: Hundreds rally at California beaches Boston Free Speech - Facebook BOSTON (AP) - Hundreds of people have rallied at Southern California beaches to condemn racism in the wake of the deadly events in Charlottesville, Virginia. Several hundred people rallied Saturday near a lifeguard tower in Laguna Beach, south of Los Angeles. Mayor Toni Iselman told the crowd that " Laguna Beach doesn 't tolerate diversity, we embrace diversity." The demonstration was held one day before the group America First! planned to hold its own demonstration against illegal immigration in the same spot.
