That revelation, plus the fact the street could be closed for up to 12 weeks during stadium construction and renovation of the Prince Charles Hotel , were part of a baseball update and web portal unveiling at the Greater Fayetteville Chamber . City leaders discussed details on the impact of construction downtown and introduced three committees connected to the stadium project. More than 50 people jammed the chamber’s conference room on Maxwell Street. Over the course of about 60 minutes, officials from the chamber, the city and the Houston Astros shared details on how downtown may be altered during and after construction of the $33 million stadium and surrounding private projects . During the University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees meeting Aug . 18, President Houston Davis spoke on the white nationalist rally that recently took place in Charlottesville, Virginia. The rally was led by white supremacists and neo-Nazis and ended in the death of one 32-year-old counter protester. Davis said that through media reports and conversations, most in the community know what occurred during the event and as a new resident of Arkansas, was “very heartened” by the strong statement Gov . Most students, when looking for apartments, are looking for close proximity to campus. These students don’t have to look much farther than Campus View Apartments . Located south on Providence, near the stadium, it's a convenient five minute drive to campus. On game days, I could just walk to the stadium from my apartment, essentially eliminating the “where are we going to park?” problem. In addition, there’s a shuttle that runs back and forth from campus free of charge. The rent is fairly reasonable; it's $429 a month for a four-bedroom apartment, and all but electricity are included for utilities. Campus View also offers two-bedroom apartments for $550 a month. Harace Zacquize, 19 (Photo: Leon County Jail ) A Tallahassee teen sped away from a traffic stop, dragging a Florida State University police officer , before leading campus police on a brief high- speed chase Thursday morning . Zacquize Harace , 19, later crashed his black Hyundai and left his driver’s license in the center console. He is charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and felony fleeing. At about 10:45 a.m., Harace flagged down an FSUPD officer assigned to move in day on campus and asked for directions. The officer noticed the smell of marijuana, according to court records, and asked him to pull into a parking lot. The officer asked Harace to put the car in park and turn off the ignition, but instead he put the vehicle in reverse, caught the officer’s traffic vest and dragged him before he drove off.
