A teenager was unable to save her 5-year-old sister from their burning apartment Tuesday night when roaring flames turned the apartment into an inferno, making it impossible to get to the second-floor where the child was watching television, officials said. East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner Dr . "Beau" Clark identified the girl as Treasure Garner, although her family says her last name is Hadley. She died in the fire at the Cedarwood Apartments on Cedarcrest Avenue . The fire started around 7 p.m. and burned for more than three hours, spreading to more than 10 apartments before firefighters could bring it under control. The Conway Police Department responded to a shooting at Chapel Ridge Apartments Friday afternoon . The call came in around 2:30 p.m. LaTresha Woodruff, spokesman for the Conway Police Department , said the victim reported he had come to an apartment at the complex to buy some drugs, and in the process of the transaction, the people in the apartment started shooting at him. The victim ran out of the apartment and across the drive to another apartment where he knocked on a door and no one answered. At the second door he knocked on, someone let him in and called 911, Woodruff said. The victim was shot multiple times and was taken to the hospital. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, but he was being transferred to a Little Rock hospital for treatment, Woodruff said. Police are now looking for a person of interest, 22-year-old Steven Banks, who may be driving a black Cadillac CTS , Woodruff said. Two shot and killed while driving near Addison park

ADDISON -- Two male victims were shot and killed as they drove near Town Central Park in Addison, IL around 1 p.m. Saturday, according to police. It all started in broad daylight at Denice Court and Elizabeth Drive, police said, when shots were fired at the car, hitting both males. The car crashed into a tree. The two victims were taken to area hospitals where they were pronounced dead. Their names have not been released yet. Neighbors expressed dismay over a shooting taking place in the middle of the day, near several apartment buildings and not far from a strip mall. Addison police said they believed the shooting was targeted and did not pose a larger threat to the community. Addison police say they're tracking several leads and ask anyone with information to call them.
