Shutterstock photo Education Realty Trust (EDR), commonly known as EdR, is making every effort to leverage on the soaring demand for on- campus development of universities. Recently, the company opened the first phase of its ONE Plan on- campus replacement housing at the Northern Michigan University (NMU). This development, named The Woods in Marquette, MI, has 417 beds in a living-learning community. The property boasts ample amenities , including Internet and Wi-Fi, classrooms, study rooms, TV lounges and laundry facilities. The entire $75.4- million project is, however, slated for final delivery in 2018. The development will include 1,229 beds. EdR is leasing the land from the university, and the project will be funded through EdR's On Campus Equity Plan - The ONE Plan. OREM -- If you think you've been hearing about the University Mall development becoming a major development called University Place for a long time, you're right. As early as April 2013, members of the Orem City Council and department heads were informed of preliminary discussions on the development and were asked to sign non-disclosure statements. Park Square Enterprises  will announce a national fitness center anchor tenant this week that has been the catalyst for a complete re-envisioning of its plans for Park Square Plaza near UCF. When Park Square Homes CEO Suresh Gupta purchased the 12.5-acre site on the 12000 block East Colonial Dr . in 2016, he planned to develop retail  along the highway frontage and pursue rezoning for multifamily use.
