Gary Vinbaytel purchased the five- story building at 128 W. 26th St. between Sixth and Seventh avenues, which formerly housed the restaurant Tre Dici , for around $10.1 million in July. He recently filed for permits to demolish the current building and construct a 14-story, mixed-use building in its place, city Department of Buildings records show . CHESAPEAKE The message from some Indian River residents on Wednesday morning was unequivocal and clear: “No pipeline in our neighborhood! No pipeline in our neighborhood!” For two hours, around 100 protesters of a proposed natural gas pipeline chanted a similar refrain, holding homemade signs that elicited honks from passing cars on Providence Road in front of the Holly Point Shopping Center . During the University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees meeting Aug . 18, President Houston Davis spoke on the white nationalist rally that recently took place in Charlottesville, Virginia. The rally was led by white supremacists and neo-Nazis and ended in the death of one 32-year-old counter protester. Davis said that through media reports and conversations, most in the community know what occurred during the event and as a new resident of Arkansas, was “very heartened” by the strong statement Gov . Asa Hutchinson released on the issue. In the statement, Gov. The buildings, located directly across the street from the Imperial hotel on Carr Street, once served as a living headquarters for actors and performers of the classic melodrama, when it was hosted by the Mackin family at the Imperial. The structures, known for highlighting the district’s Victorian era grandeur , also have a colorful history in both the town’s pre and post-gambling period. They were the source of a huge controversy in the early years of gaming, capping an era of wild historic preservation fights that once prompted an investigation by the National Park Service .
