WEST VALLEY CITY , Utah - Police say a woman led them on a chase through West Valley City overnight and then hid in a man's apartment. Officers said the chase ended when the suspect crashed a stolen car into a water fountain outside of the Shadowbrook Apartments near 3800 S. and Redwood Rd. Police spotted the car just before 4 a.m. When officers tried to pull over the driver, she sped off. Authorities spiked the tires near 3500 S. Redwood Rd. and the suspect ran, hiding in a family's apartment. "We were notified by the homeowner that the female suspect got into his apartment as he had left with his three children," Robert Hamilton said, West Valley City Police . "She was still inside the home when he came back he saw her and immediately called police ." Authorities arrested the suspect who is now facing numerous charges .

MILTON, Wash. — A police officer opened fire and killed a gunman Monday after the man fatally shot his stepsister he was holding next to him in the parking lot of the Sunridge Apartments in Milton, police said. “Evidence recovered thus far indicated this was likely a ‘murder-suicide by cop’ incident,” a Milton Police Department news release said Monday night. Milton police officers responded at about 2 p.m. to a report of a man with a gun near a woman in the parking lot of the Sunridge Apartments at 6926 5th Street East in Milton. “It appeared the male suspect in this case had his arm wrapped around the female. They were engaged in some type of conversation,” said Puyallup police spokesman Scott Engle . A Milton police sergeant and officer challenged the man to put down his weapon. “At that point, the male suspect shot the female and she went down,” Engle said. WORCESTER - Two people will be arraigned Monday in Worcester County District Court on charges stemming from a Friday afternoon fentanyl bust . Reinaldo Monserrate, 33, of 21 Dorchester St. and 4 May St., and Nicole Auger, 24, also of 21 Dorchester St. and 30 Poland St. in Webster, were arrested by police and charged with trafficking a Class B substance (100-199 grams) and a drug violation within 1,000 feet of a school. The  school referenced in the charges is St. Mary's Junior/Senior High School, located across the street from where the arrests were made. Police said members of the vice squad had a search warrant for the basement apartment at 21 Dorchester St. When the officers entered the apartment around 1:40 p.m., Mr. Monserrate and Ms. Auger were inside, along with a 19-year-old female and a 3-year-old child. Police said the search produced several bags containing fentanyl, $405 in cash, a digital scale, and paperwork apparently belonging to Mr. Monserrate and Ms. Auger. T...
