Deputies ID young man killed in apartment complex near UCF

The manhunt continued Thursday for the shooter who killed a 22-year-old man at an apartment complex near the University of Central Florida on Wednesday. Colin Marcel Jackson was identified Thursday as the man found dead inside an apartment at Campus Crossing Alafaya about 6:30 p.m., officials said. "Witnesses reported seeing the victim and an unknown black male involved in an altercation prior to hearing the shots," said Lourdes Clayton, spokeswoman for the Orange County Sheriff 's Office. Jackson was not a UCF student and it's unclear if he lived in the apartment complex, officials said. An investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Jackson's criminal history includes a Dec. 30 arrest at same apartment complex on the following charges: aggravated assault with a firearm, armed burglary of dwelling with a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft.
