Rather than sleeping in a cramped dorm room, Wolter shares a spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with three other freshmen.  The residence comes with amenities one would expect in a luxury apartment, such as a balcony, a full kitchen with a dishwasher, a washer and dryer, and free parking. There's also a pool and fitness center across the street. UPDATE: The fire at Tivoli Apartments has been declared as an accidental fire with an undetermined cause, stated by Seminole County public information officer Paula Thompson . The Seminole Building Official determined the fire- damaged apartment building is unsafe to enter. Advertisement “This is primarily due to the thousands of gallons of water utilized during extinguishment of the fire that creates a potential risk for a ceiling collapse that could have hundreds of pounds of weight falling on someone inside the structure,” reads a statement released by Seminole County Fire Department . The building has been handed back over to Tivoli property management . The American Red Cross , University of Central Florida and Tivoli Property Management are working to relocate residents. Westchester Plaza has shut down and its 100-plus residents, most of them low-income and disabled, have moved, authorities said. Westchester, at northeast corner of Summit and Pennsylvania avenues, was one of the largest assisted-living centers in Texas that supported Medicaid recipients . The facility has weathered financial hardships and complaints from residents over the years concerning inadequate staffing and other issues. Its owners said they shuttered the facility because it was too hard to operate in the current regulatory environment and with changes to Medicaid. The residents were told in July that they had until Thursday to move out. One resident, a 61-year-old resident dead outside the building on July 17, slumped over in his wheelchair. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has not yet posted a cause of death as of Friday. The state is also investigating. BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Some LSU students cannot start moving in just yet because their apartments are not ready. The Park Place apartments , which are privately owned and just off LSU's main campus, are still under construction.  Classes at LSU begin Monday , Aug. 21 and many students are moving in this week, but not those who will be staying at the Park Place Apartments .  "We got an email a couple of days before move in that basically said they would not be ready," said Ciera Handsborough.  "They put us in a hotel for a little bit. For me it is only a week. I know for some people it is Sept. 1. At least they gave us something and not make you scramble on your own," said Christian Christoffersen.  Christoffersen is just one of the students impacted. The apartment's corporate owner is providing housing at nearby hotels for everyone and even storage for the inconvenience. There was a time, and it wasn’t long ago, when Mission Valley was farmland. Black and white photos from the 1960s show rows of turnip plants and herds of grazing dairy cows owned by farmers. “I remember the stories of how they would take the cows under the freeway after they built Interstate 8, or 80 back in those days,” said Rob Hutsel, a fourth- generation San Diegan . “The deal with the landowner was he still had to get his cows to the river. And so they left a tunnel under it so they could take their cows down to the river to get their water... Arapahoe County Foundation fund for Southview Apartment Fire Victims established LITTLETON , CO — A fund has been established through the Arapahoe County Foundation to assist victims of the Southview Place Towers Apartments fire that occurred on April 6 in the 5800 block of S. Windermere St. More than 130 senior citizens have been displaced by the fire and although all are now in housing, the crisis is far from over and many of the current housing solutions are temporary. Residents were informed this week that their leases will be terminated and they will not be able to return to their apartments due to smoke and asbestos damage. Additionally, some residents were told that they must pack and move all of their furnishings and belongings within the next 10 days, and others were told that they could never retrieve their items due to contamination. It took less than a month to find a new use for the palatial sandstone building in the heart of Edinburgh that was once a jewel of Sir Philip Green ’s retail empire. The Scottish capital was one of more than 100 British towns and cities to see a large gap open up in its high street when BHS collapsed last year. For some provincial shopping streets , the clothing and homeware outlet had been their biggest draw. The chain’s demise has forced landlords to be creative in filling those gaps, often by embracing gym operators and pound shops as well as other retailers, in the hope they can seed life in the darkened stores.
