FORT WORTH (CBS11) – A Fort Worth woman said she paid thousands of dollars for electricity she never used. Tina Hudson was billed more than $8,000 over two years for electricity. Tina Hudson  (CBS11) Hudson said she knew her electric bills were too high, but the electric company and the apartment complex kept blaming each other, so she kept paying. “Four hundred and forty-eight dollars,” said Hudson, “$489… I think $501 might have been my highest bill.” Hudson said she expected higher power bills in the summer, but not all year long. BOSTON — A student at a Boston university with Milwaukee ties who was reported missing early Monday was found passed away in his vehicle, the man's step-mother said. Authorities said they do not suspect foul play in the death of 25-year-old Nicholas Williams, who was last seen Wednesday, Aug. 9. Advertisement Beverly Williams said detectives told her that her step-son likely died of sarcoidosis, the medical condition that took his hearing and later affected his vision. Williams said her step-son didn't have his medication with him when he was reported missing . The missing persons report was filed with the Boston Police Department on Monday after the Suffolk University student failed to appear at his weekend job as an advocacy intern. Beverly Williams said he had no contact with friends or family in recent days, nor had there been any activity on his social media accounts . ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – Police in Arlington say they’re looking for answers in what they have determined is a double murder on the city’s north side. Two bodies were found at the Stone Canyon Apartments just before noon Saturday. “Nothing points to a murder-suicide, it appears this is a double homicide ,” according to Arlington police Lt . Christopher Cook. Police say a family member discovered the victims. A door was partly open. An adult man and adult woman were dead inside. “It appears potentially that the apartment had been ransacked inside and so we’re waiting for the medical examiner and some of our other detectives to make the scene before we actually process the inside of the scene,” said Lt. Cook. As they waited, officers talked to grieving family members to determine who the victims are, if they even lived in the apartment, and if anyone might want to harm them. LOS ANGELES, Calif. (KGTV) - The decomposed body of a University of Southern California graduate student was discovered Wednesday in a dorm room, multiple sources reported . Jacob Kelley, 24, was in his first year of the Master of Science and Medical Physiology program , according to KABC. A Los Angeles Police Department detective told the Daily Trojan that a cleaning crew noticed a foul scent and found Kelley dead in the apartment in the Seaver Residence Hall .  Kelley died seven days before his remains were found, the detective said. The Los Angeles County Coroner is investigating Kelley's cause of death.

A recent study from Apartment List broke down post-rent wages in 82 metro areas, across three industries: blue collar, knowledge and service. According to the findings, in most metro areas, rent prices increase steadily while wages stay stagnant , disproportionately affecting blue collar and service workers . After setting fire to a house in 2015, a Fairview Heights man was sentenced to nine years in prison. Michael C. Newton, 25, pleaded guilty to aggravated arson July 27 , almost two years after he was charged with setting the fire. Belleville police and fire departments responded on Nov. 4, 2015, to a fire at the 200 block of N. 46th Street at the Plaza Apartments, according to court documents. Prosecutors said Newton knew someone was home in the apartment buildings at the time of the fire. Newton also was convicted of domestic battery and residential burglary, all unrelated charges. He’ll serve his five-year sentence for burglary and 100-day sentence for the domestic battery concurrently with his arson sentence .

Crescent Heights , a Miami- based developer , submitted a proposal to the city Planning Department this week to build a 70- story apartment building that would stand out in size and design amid the rapidly growing South Park district east of Staples Center. WARREN, Ohio - A barrage of bullets outside  Fairview Gardens apartment complex on Duke Street in Warren ended with the death of a young woman Saturday night . Neighbors who live at Fairview said a large group of kids typically play outside, so a large group of children could have also been killed or injured in the gunfire. Resident Sabrina Simmons , who was asleep, dropped to the floor in fear, possibly ripping stitches and injuring herself after recent surgery to remove lung cancer . "I took my evening medicine and wanted to lay down and rest. The next thing I know, we got World War III  out here and there's a child gone now.
