“Hands off the organ” is not a sign you find in every show apartment, but then again, there’s nothing conventional about this Cheshire address. This is a church conversion for the 21st century, and it is fair to say this building sings from an altogether different hymn sheet.

The sandstone detailing and spire make the former United Reform church, erected in 1872, imposing enough, backed up as it is with polychromatic brickwork, featuring the creamy yellow Bowden buff brick, and stained-glass windows emblazoned with the values of faith, hope, charity, justice, temperance and fortitude.
