Update: 23-year-old Clay man underwent surgery after stabbing at Kingswood Garden Apartments

CLAY, N.Y. -- A 23-year-old Clay man underwent surgery after he was stabbed multiple times Monday morning at the apartment complex where he lives, state police said.

The man, who lives at Kingswood Garden Apartments at 1150 Vine St. in the town of Clay, was stabbed by an "unknown assailant" shortly after 4 a.m. Monday, state police said. After the attack, the man went downstairs and asked a neighbor for help, troopers said.

The victim underwent surgery Monday at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, state police said. He is in stable condition Monday evening.

State police say they are continuing to investigate the stabbing. Anyone with information about the stabbing can call state police at (315) 455-2826.

Bloober Team’s Observer is here and it’s pretty darn great . Set almost exclusively in an apartment building, the game has you explore the lives of multiple residents living within Kraków slums (AKA The Stacks).
