Residents at the senior living facility, Brookview Place, 4032 N. Main St., have been without power more than 14 hours as Dayton Power and Light continues to make repairs following an overnight crash.

The crash took out a utility pole shortly after 2 a.m. and knocked power out for 2,345 customers.

Nearly all of the customers were restored within an hour and a half, but further repairs were necessary to restore power at the Brookview apartments and two other customers, according Kelly Millhouse, DP&L director of substation operations.

Those further repairs include complicated underground work and completing the repair to the pole, Millhouse said.

Complete restoration is expected to happen by 7 p.m.
