Things seem to be getting even more ugly in Gainesville as two freshmen players have reportedly been cited for drug use in their on-campus apartment. The players were cited Monday according to Matthew Head and Neal Bennett of WTLV. According to their report,  freshmen Ventrell Miller and James Robinson were charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Robinson, you may recall, was cited for drug use at Ohio State last winter during his recruitment. That incident resulted in several programs backing off from their interest in him, however, Florida obviously took another route. Robinson was rated a four-star recruit and the No. 19 overall receiver prospect in the nation during the last recruiting cycle according to 247Sports. He arrived late to Gainesville after he was cleared to enter school late in the summer. DETROIT -  Colony Arms Apartments in Detroit was once the most problematic building in the city. Now, it's one of the nicest affordable housing developments  in Detroit. On Friday, Jan. 27, the developers and investors in Colony and Fisher Arms Apartments , 9303 E. Jefferson Ave., invited community leaders to the the 161-unit building for a renaming ceremony. After four years of renovation, Colony Arms is now River Crest Apartments . BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Just one day after a fire ripped through the Cedarwood Apartments in Baton Rouge, killing a 5-year-old girl, fire experts issued a warning in an effort to prevent another tragedy. While the exact cause of Tuesday's deadly blaze has not been determined, fire investigators say it likely sparked after an 18-year-old allegedly left a pot on the stove. Eldon LeDoux with the St. George Fire Department said he cannot speak directly to Tuesday's fire, but said grease fires are one of the most dangerous types of fires and also the most common. trendeegirl12 Horrible This is the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. We've (unfortunatley) lived here for almost three years and have had nothing but problems. The neighbors are horribly loud - the walls are thin and you can hear everything! There are ALWAYS police in the area because of B&E or other crimes. It was until we recently found mold all over our apartment that we decided we need to leave. Management blamed us for the mold and told us there was nothing they could do. We cleaned the mold up ourselves, but know it's only a matter of time before it comes back. I now have several doctor appointments lined up because my breathing has been effected and i cannot stop sneezing, nor can i get a good night's sleep. It's awful that management won't do anything to help us - and that they simply dismissed the issue. They are very rude and just don't care about their tennants. The Park Place apartments , which are privately owned and just off LSU's main campus, are still under construction.  Classes at LSU begin Monday , Aug. 21 and many students are moving in this week, but not those who will be staying at the Park Place Apartments .  "We got an email a couple of days before move in that basically said they would not be ready," said Ciera Handsborough.  "They put us in a hotel for a little bit. For me it is only a week. I know for some people it is Sept. 1. LAUDERDALE LAKES -- A woman`s purse containing $600 in cash was stolen early on Wednesday morning from a bedside table in her home in the Wingate Apartments in the 3900 block of Northwest 30th Terrace . The woman told police she left the window open a crack. Police said entry into the apartment apparently was made through that window. The woman said she awakened about 4:30 a.m., noticed the purse was missing and looked out the window to see an unidentified person running away.

WORCESTER - Two people will be arraigned Monday in Worcester County District Court on charges stemming from a Friday afternoon fentanyl bust . Reinaldo Monserrate, 33, of 21 Dorchester St. and 4 May St., and Nicole Auger, 24, also of 21 Dorchester St. and 30 Poland St. in Webster, were arrested by police and charged with trafficking a Class B substance (100-199 grams) and a drug violation within 1,000 feet of a school. The  school referenced in the charges is St. Mary's Junior/Senior High School, located across the street from where the arrests were made. Police said members of the vice squad had a search warrant for the basement apartment at 21 Dorchester St. When the officers entered the apartment around 1:40 p.m., Mr. Monserrate and Ms. Auger were inside, along with a 19-year-old female and a 3-year-old child. Property owners are costing the city of Madison millions of dollars by taking advantage of a loophole in a state law created in 2001. By registering the property as a limited-liability corporation, such as Steve Brown Apartments , LLC, rather than as a parcel of land, owners are allowed to sell property without filing the selling price with the city of Madison. The owner is then automatically exempt from real estate transfer fees and can easily avoid high property taxes because no sale price is recorded and the city does not know the property’s actual value.
