Suspects remain at large following pair of robberies
Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call at 1:20 a.m. about an armed robbery and sent officers to Buffalo Wild Wings. Officers spoke to an off-duty OPD officer who was working security at the eatery about what reportedly happened to the victim.
The pizza delivery man told officers he went across the street to the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant to flag down the off-duty OPD officer.
After arriving at the North Grandview Avenue apartment complex, the pizza delivery man told authorities that he was approached by a black man who aimed a pistol at him. The suspect took the pizza bag and bank bag that contained cash from the victim, and ran in an eastbound direction, the OPD reported.
The suspect evaded capture. He was described as standing 5-feet, 10-inches tall and wore a black hoodie, black shorts and a black mask. The suspect appeared to have weighed 200 pounds, the OPD said. The victim told officers that the gun used in the armed robbery may have been a 9 mm Glock, police said.
In a separate and unrelated incident, a 43-year-old man suffered injuries Tuesday when a suspect beat him over the head with a pipe and robbed him of his cell phone and pack of beer, OPD spokesman Cpl. Steve LeSueur said.
OPD officers were alerted by staff at Medical Center Hospital about the victim and spoke to him, LeSueur said. The aggravated robbery was reported at about 6:18 p.m. and occurred at 12th Street and Tom Green Avenue, a crime blotter entry reported.
The driver behind the wheel of a small blue vehicle pulled up alongside the victim, an occupant got out and approached the victim, LeSueur said. No suspects have been arrested in this case.

A 26-year-old Domino’s Pizza delivery man reported to an off-duty Odessa Police Department officer working at Buffalo Wild Wings that he went to the northeast area of Brookview Apartments to deliver approximately $23 worth of pizza at about 1:20 this morning.
The delivery man told police that when he arrived on scene, he was approached by a male subject who pointed a pistol at him. The suspect took the pizza bag and bank bag containing an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim before fleeing the scene eastbound on foot, according to an OPD news release. The victim then went across the street to Buffalo Wild Wings and flagged down an off-duty OPD officer.
There were no reports of any injuries and no arrests have been made at this time. The suspect is described as a black male wearing a black hoodie, black shorts and a black mask covering his face. The suspect is approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall and approximately 200 pounds. The suspect’s pistol was possibly a 9 mm Glock.
