Prime Place Apartments to open a second location in Stillwater | News

A Stillwater apartment complex that opened last fall has no plans of slowing down. 

Prime Place Apartments is constructing a new complex on the corner of Elm and Duck streets, which will be move-in ready in the fall. 

The $20 million structure is bringing a modern style of living that no other apartment complex in Stillwater has provided before, said Blake Franklin, property manager. 

In addition to the traditional apartment layout, the new complex will feature studio efficiency apartments as well as loft apartments. 

The studio efficiency apartments will include kitchen, bath and living areas all for a low cost, Franklin said. 

The prices of a studio apartment range from $675 to $800 for each bedroom, per month.  Electric, water, trash, cable and Internet are included in the total rent of all units. 

With the loft apartments, renters will have the choice of a one bedroom, two bedroom or studio loft, Franklin said. 

“(Lofts) will have a bedroom and a living room downstairs and upstairs; it is going to have a loft area that could serve as another living space … and what that is going to do is give you two floors and 20 foot ceilings in the living room,” he said. 

Franklin said the two bedroom lofts will feature a spiral staircase up to the top floor. 

Renting a loft from Prime Place will cost anywhere from $649 to $975 per bedroom, per month. 

Construction on the complex started in October and is scheduled to be complete in July, Franklin said. 

He said the move-in date for the complex will be Aug. 16.

Franklin said Prime Place saw the success it had at the Hester location and decided to build another complex, expecting the same results. 

“Right now we are in the middle of our leasing season, and probably weekly we are signing about 15 to 20 leases and that is only at our Hester location,” he said.  “As Elm progresses in production we are looking at far more leases picking up for Elm.”

Prime Place is hosting a Lease Launch party Friday, Jan. 31 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Eskimo Joes.  

“Basically what it is, is that anyone who shows up for our lease launch party, they’re going to hear about our information, and if they say, “I want to sign a lease,” they will have the opportunity to sign a lease for next fall to guarantee their apartment, and we’ll pay for their lunch at Eskimo Joes,” Franklin said.
