UPDATE: The fire at Tivoli Apartments has been declared as an accidental fire with an undetermined cause, stated by Seminole County public information officer Paula Thompson . The Seminole Building Official determined the fire- damaged apartment building is unsafe to enter. THREE OAKS – No injuries were reported in an early morning fire that caused the evacuation of a 16-unit, two- story apartment building in Three Oaks on Saturday, Aug. 19. Fire Chief David Flick said the alarm of a structure fired came in at 5:40 a.m. and the middle section of the roof was engulfed in flames when crews arrived at the Hidden Harbor Villas (formerly Oak Tree Apartments ) at 305 W. NORFOLK, VA. (WVEC) -- Seventeen people are without a home following a two-alarm fire at a Norfolk apartment on Friday. Crews received a call at 11:15 a.m. at the 7100 block of Sewell Point Road . A woman inside the apartment smelled smoke , and got out safely, along with her 5-year-old grandson.  As she got out of the building, she alert neighboring residents of the fire. Firefighters arrived minutes later, and saw heavy smoke coming from the second floor of the two- story apartment building . The severity of the fire led for a second alarm to be called for additional fire crews , but fortunately, they were able to contain the fire to a single building. No injuries are reported. (KCRA) — Dozens of Roseville families are being forced to vacate their apartments by the end of June after a balcony collapse alerted the city to many safety problems at Shadowbrook Apartments. The city told KCRA 3 on Thursday that the buildings, which are more than 30 years old, have not been well maintained. Smoking either tobacco or electronic cigarettes will be prohibited inside apartments , condominiums and townhomes in unincorporated areas of San Mateo County under a ban approved 4-1 Tuesday by the Board of Supervisors. Supervisors Carole Groom and Adrienne Tissier pushed the ordinance, which outlaws smoking inside and around multiple-unit buildings with one or more shared ceilings, floors, walls or ventilation systems. The ordinance also applies to any such buildings owned or leased by the county, regardless of where they are located. A teenager was unable to save her 5-year-old sister from their burning apartment Tuesday night when roaring flames turned the apartment into an inferno, making it impossible to get to the second-floor where the child was watching television, officials said. MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Emergency crews responded to the scene of a large fire at an apartment complex . The fire started around 5 p.m. Sunday at the Carrington Park Apartments in the 2700 block of Rideout Lane in Murfreesboro. Firefighters said the flames spread quickly and burned through the roof before they were able to extinguish it. Witnesses at the scene reported seeing large flames and heavy smoke coming from one of the buildings. Reports stated the main part of the fire was out by 6 p.m., and crews remained on scene to put out hot spots. "We will be here for quite a while," said Battalion Chief Daryl Alexander .
