PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Parma Heights police are investigating whether a series of armed robberies are connected after multiple people were robbed at two different apartment complexes . The robberies happened Sunday and Monday in Parma Heights at Hidden Cove Apartments north of Pearl Road and Big Creek Apartments and Townhomes off of Stumph Road, police say. No one was hurt in any of the robberies, and no arrests have been made. The first two robberies happened Sunday  about 4:30 p.m. at Hidden Cove Apartments , Detective Adam Sloan said. Three women went to the apartment complex to meet a friend. When they got to the apartment building door , three men with semi-automatic handguns stole their purses, cellphones and keys, Sloan said. The three men robbed another man who went to the apartment complex to meet one of his friends. Luxury apartments going up between Brookstown Avenue and Green Street will meet a demand for the advantages in amenities and design that a new building can offer, one of the developers of West End Station says. The $35 million development will provide 229 apartments in a block that’s close to both the center of downtown and the BB&T Ballpark, said Porter Jones, the president of DPJ Residential, a Charlotte-based developer doing its first project in Winston-Salem. “We think Winston-Salem is in the very early stages of growth compared to Charlotte and Raleigh that have experienced a lot of urban revitalization,” Jones said. “We are attracted by the (Wake Forest) Innovation Quarter and what is going on with Wake Forest and Baptist downtown.
