MAYS LANDING — Hamilton Township police are investigating two armed home invasions , including one Friday morning. Between 2 and 2:30 a.m. Friday, a victim reported three men broke into their home at Cologne Garden Apartments through the back door, police said. The men ransacked the home and stole items before running away, Detective Frank Schalek said, and at least two of the men were seen with handguns. Latest Video The victim described one suspect to police as a black man about 6-foot-2, of muscular build, wearing all black clothing, including a black hoodie and ski mask. The second suspect was described as a short black man of medium build, wearing all black clothing, including a black hoodie and wool ski cap, with his face covered from the nose down. The third suspect was described as wearing all black clothing. The victim was assaulted, but did not need medical attention, Schalek said. A masked man robbed a pizza delivery man at gunpoint early Friday at a northeast Odessa apartment building and ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police made no arrests in the aggravated robbery of the 26-year-old Domino’s Pizza delivery driver who went to the Brookview Apartments, 3843 Penbrook St., to deliver about $23 worth of pizza when he got held-up, the Odessa Police Department reported . Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call at 1:20 a.m. about an armed robbery and sent officers to Buffalo Wild Wings . Officers spoke to an off- duty OPD officer who was working security at the eatery about what reportedly happened to the victim. OVIEDO, Fla. - New video was released Wednesday in connection with a crash near the University of Central Florida in which a student was killed. Austin Ekern, 20, who attended Florida State University and was the son of a longtime UCF staff member , was run over and killed Friday on Alafaya Trail near McCulloch Road. "I have a 20-year-old son who is in the prime of his life and it was taken in an instant," Brent Ekern, Austin's father, told News 6. The video, obtained from a nearby apartment complex , shows a white van and black car traveling through the area, and the Florida Highway Patrol said it believes the black car struck Austin Ekern and knocked him down onto Alafaya Trail.  Troopers said that up to a minute later a pickup truck ran over Austin Ekern, killing him. Multiple media organizations reported someone spray- painted unintelligible black letters on at least two sides of the downtown Winston -Salem memorial, but did not deface the soldier portrayed atop the base. The damage was mostly removed within two hours of the incident Friday night . Police earlier issued a statement responding to queries about a downtown Ku Klux Klan rally rumored for Saturday. Police said they had received no requests from the white supremacist organization for a rally. The Winston- Salem Journal reports the monument was erected in 1905 by the United Daughters of the Confederacy, which still claims ownership. The Conway Police Department responded to a shooting at Chapel Ridge Apartments Friday afternoon . The call came in around 2:30 p.m. LaTresha Woodruff, spokesman for the Conway Police Department , said the victim reported he had come to an apartment at the complex to buy some drugs, and in the process of the transaction, the people in the apartment started shooting at him. The victim ran out of the apartment and across the drive to another apartment where he knocked on a door and no one answered. At the second door he knocked on, someone let him in and called 911, Woodruff said. The victim was shot multiple times and was taken to the hospital. His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, but he was being transferred to a Little Rock hospital for treatment, Woodruff said. Police are now looking for a person of interest, 22-year-old Steven Banks, who may be driving a black Cadillac CTS , Woodruff said.
