Honolulu City Council deferred a bill requiring older high -rises to install fire sprinkler systems .  After the 7-alarm fire that killed four  people inside Honolulu 's Marco Polo building -- many owners took a closer look at their building's safety features . Amber Nicole Lompe , a then 20-year-old college student, was exposed to high levels of carbon monoxide from a malfunctioning furnace in her apartment at the Sunridge Apartments in Casper, Wyoming, in February 2011, according to Friday's ruling by the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver in Amber Nicole Lompe v. This program combined with the " Joe Sweeney Fund " and the hard work of many dedicated volunteers has assisted over 517 veterans, in 117 communities across the province.
