A College Station man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after police say he was arrested on an assault charge and then used his head to bust out a window in a police vehicle. According to College Station police , a woman called around 3:20 p.m. Wednesday and reported she could hear fighting coming from next door. Officers responded to an apartment complex in the 1700 block of Southwest Parkway and found a man with a broken jaw. Police arrested a 24-year-old man. Police say as they were preparing to place the man into a patrol car, an officer tried to remove his necklace, which is a standard policy. A report notes the man became combative and as he thrashed about, he bashed his skull into the passenger window of the patrol vehicle , which created a six-inch hole in the glass. The man is charged with assault family violence and criminal mischief, both misdemeanors. The man is being held in the Brazos County Jail on $7,000 bond.

A trail of blood allegedly led police from a woman’s bludgeoned corpse to a Long Island man ’s apartment — and now he has been charged with beating her to death with a hammer after a Craigslist sex-for-cash rendezvous. Raphael Oyague, 36, of Baldwin, pleaded not guilty to the murder Thursday after being walked out of Nassau County Police Headquarters . “The encounter was for sex,” said Capt. John Azzata, commanding officer of the Nassau County Police Homicide Squad , according to CBS New York. “There was supposed to be compensation for that sex. There was an argument that ensued, and our subject hit our victim with a hammer multiple times ,” he said. Cops say Oyague had contacted the 25-year-old woman on Craigslist and met her Tuesday night. Police did not release her name. Oyague allegedly killed her in the apartment and, at around 10 p.m., carried her body down a staircase and out of his building.
