Palo Alto Jane Huang, 29 Huang moved to Palo Alto with her parents at the age of four. She attended local high schools and Stanford University. Recently, the company opened the first phase of its ONE Plan on- campus replacement housing at the Northern Michigan University (NMU). This development, named The Woods in Marquette, MI, has 417 beds in a living-learning community. The property boasts ample amenities , including Internet and Wi-Fi, classrooms, study rooms, TV lounges and laundry facilities. The entire $75.4- million project is, however, slated for final delivery in 2018. The development will include 1,229 beds. EdR is leasing the land from the university, and the project will be funded through EdR's On Campus Equity Plan - The ONE Plan. Texas Tech made the "Cool School" list. Texas Tech University participated in the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) 2017 self- reporting Sustainability Tracking Assessment and Rating System (STARS) survey regarding environmental sustainability on college campuses, earning a spot on this year’s Sierra Club’s “Cool School” list. Rankings for the list were compiled from raw data from the STARS self- reporting tool . This information was scored across 61 categories about different environmental impacts of a university like peer-to-peer sustainability, sustainability during orientation of new students and energy use by type. UPDATE: The fire at Tivoli Apartments has been declared as an accidental fire with an undetermined cause, stated by Seminole County public information officer Paula Thompson . The Seminole Building Official determined the fire- damaged apartment building is unsafe to enter. Advertisement “This is primarily due to the thousands of gallons of water utilized during extinguishment of the fire that creates a potential risk for a ceiling collapse that could have hundreds of pounds of weight falling on someone inside the structure,” reads a statement released by Seminole County Fire Department . My friend and I have a foolproof napping system . A particularly evil professor of ours takes attendance in class. As a result, we both show up. But we do not let the professor defeat us. We wear our comfortable pants, raise our hands when our names are called for attendance, and then one of us promptly falls asleep . The other takes notes, and we share in the spoils of a lecture that one of us slept through. Mutual aid agreements like this don’t just appear willy-nilly out of thin air. They require foresight, planning and age-old relationships. We have a similar agreement in Morrison Library. This magical, beautiful library, with its stoic bookshelves, wood-paneled walls, lounging chairs, rugs and magazines galore serves as the noted campus “comfy spot.” Morrison isn’t like regular libraries.
