AGOURA, CA - AMCAL Multi-Housing, one of California's leading builders of workforce and affordable housing , has just announced plans for two new, apartment developments in Los Angeles stemming from the recent funding from California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (TCAC). TCAC funding will be used by AMCAL to finance the Argyle Apartments, a 40-unit development in Hollywood, and the Terracina Apartments, a 72-unit development in South LA. JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS) — Plans are taking shape in Jackson to bring more than 100 new apartments to the downtown area. The downtown Jackson skyline is undergoing a big transformation. Four apartment building projects are in the works, one of which is already under construction. It’s the downtown development that Jackson has been waiting for. “One of the big things we’re trying to accomplish is getting more apartments downtown ,” said City of Jackson Public Information Officer Will Forgrave. The Lofts on Louis development, which is located on Louis Glick Highway , is currently being constructed. When it’s finished, the building will have 30 apartments on the upper floors and businesses on the first floor. Different developers also want to place another apartment building on Jackson Street next to the lofts. It’s still in the planning stages. Twelve communities across the state celebrated Wisconsin Main Street Day with a visit from state officials to highlight the importance of downtown business districts in Wisconsin’s economy. Locations were chosen from members of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation ’s Wisconsin Main Street Program and Connect Communities Program — which assist communities and organizations dedicated to revitalization efforts. ROTTERDAM -- Plans to build a multi- faceted senior citizen community off Helderberg Avenue have been withdrawn by the developer in the face of opposition from residents and some Town Board members . Developer Lou Lecce pulled the application for the Whispering Pines senior complex at the end of a two- hour Town Board public hearing on the project Wednesday night . It was the second hearing in three weeks at which many Helderbeg Avenue neighbors spoke against the concept. "It's off the table. We're done," Lecce told the Town Board, after a series of verbal exchanges between Town Board members and the audience. Lecce said the project he proposed was a good one, but he didn't believe any new analyses he could present about traffic impacts or other issues would overcome the opposition of the crowd. Zillow Group , the parent company for online real estate portals Zillow and Trulia , is growing its operations in New York City with the acquisition of Naked Apartments , which bills itself as “New York City's largest rentals-only platform.” According to Zillow, the acquisition of Naked Apartments will bring its total number of consumer brands to five, with Naked Apartments joining StreetEasy as the second NYC brand for Zillow. Zillow purchased StreetEasy , a NYC- focused property portal , in 2013 for $50 million. The purchase price for Naked Apartments will be $13 million, funded with cash on hand, Zillow said in a release. “This acquisition reinforces Zillow Group 's commitment to providing buyers, sellers, renters and real estate professionals with New York City-centric tools and information that make their lives easier,” Zillow said in a release. KUALA LUMPUR: The Pavilion group is targeting sales turnover of RM1.7bil within the first year of operations for its Pavilion Bukit Jalil City mall when it begins operations in 2020.  Pavilion KL retail chief executive officer Datuk Joyce Yap said the mall had already received more than 1,000 registrations from prospective tenants.  “With a net lettable area of approximately 1. 8 million sq ft , it is set to be a regional mall in terms of brands mix, flagship stores and concept,” she told reporters at the launch of the second tower of The Park 2 serviced apartments at Bukit Jalil City earlier today . CLEVELAND, Ohio - One of downtown Cleveland 's worst eyesores finally changed hands Monday , after years of court fights and false redevelopment starts . Alto Partners bought the long- vacant John Hartness Brown complex on Euclid Avenue for $9.1 million, in a deal that sprang from a messy foreclosure fight . The developer, a relative newcomer to the Cleveland real estate market , expects to fill the buildings with apartments, a hotel, retail and parking. Construction could start during the first few months of 2018. Stretching from 1001-1101 Euclid Ave., the John Hartness Brown complex spans three addresses and five facades on north side of the street. Thanks to troubled ownership, financial hurdles and lingering fallout from the Great Recession, the property has languished despite the surge in downtown living and the trend of turning historic buildings into housing and hotels.
