POCATELLO — An Idaho State University student is facing multiple felony charges after police say he held a motorist at knifepoint, forcing the motorist to give him a ride. Police said 23-year-old Saud Khalid Almudaiheem , a student from Saudi Arabia who is living in Pocatello, was charged with two counts of felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one felony charge of second- degree kidnapping . Around 2 a.m. Sunday, police said they received a call from a motorist claiming that Almudaiheem brandished a black box- cutter style knife and demanded a ride from the Jacksons Food Stores on South Fifth Avenue to an area near the Ridgecrest Apartments on Bartz Way. WEST VALLEY CITY , Utah - Police say a woman led them on a chase through West Valley City overnight and then hid in a man's apartment. Officers said the chase ended when the suspect crashed a stolen car into a water fountain outside of the Shadowbrook Apartments near 3800 S. and Redwood Rd. Police spotted the car just before 4 a.m. When officers tried to pull over the driver, she sped off. Authorities spiked the tires near 3500 S. Redwood Rd. and the suspect ran, hiding in a family's apartment. "We were notified by the homeowner that the female suspect got into his apartment as he had left with his three children," Robert Hamilton said, West Valley City Police . "She was still inside the home when he came back he saw her and immediately called police ." Authorities arrested the suspect who is now facing numerous charges .

Daniel Morozov , a 9-year-old Santa Maria boy who was reportedly abducted by his father after his mother was shot and killed Monday night , has been found safe, according to the California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles Police Department . Konstantin Morozov , 48, who was the primary suspect in the Monday night shooting on North College Drive in Santa Maria that left his ex- wife Natalia Morozova dead , was shot and killed by Los Angeles Police Tuesday night . Los Angeles Police Department officials confirmed Tuesday night that Morozov was shot at 6:45 p.m. by officers in the city of Encino. According to Officer Mike Lopez with the LAPD, the shooting occurred in the 5500 block of Lindley Avenue.
