A jury awarded $28.2 million to a woman who was poisoned by carbon monoxide at the Sunridge Apartments in Casper in what could be one of the largest civil judgments in state history. “What I have been told is it’s the largest personal injury verdict in the state of Wyoming,” said Tyson Logan, an attorney from the Jackson law firm that represented the woman, the Spence Law Firm . Amber Lompe, now 23, was poisoned by her furnace in 2011. She has a permanent brain injury that affects her memory, concentration, processing speed, attention and ability to multi-task, Lompe said Friday afternoon. “When I moved in there, I assumed everything was checked out and it was safe for me to live in,” she said. Before the poisoning, Sunridge’s owner and manager ignored warnings that the furnaces were dangerous and needed to be fixed or replaced. New York City’s annual West Indian American Day Carnival , held on Labor Day, will head to Crown Heights in Brooklyn once again for a day of festivities that celebrates the history, culture, music, food, and people from myriad Caribbean countries . During the University of Central Arkansas Board of Trustees meeting Aug . 18, President Houston Davis spoke on the white nationalist rally that recently took place in Charlottesville, Virginia. A newborn baby was found outside a Houston apartment complex early Thursday covered in ants, according to multiple media reports . "She had the mucus and the blood and umbilical cord and everything", he told KHOU. Hill became the first pitcher since Pedro Martinez in 1995 to take a no-hit try into extra innings. The Pirates didn’t have a runner until Jordy Mercer led off the ninth with a sharp grounder that smacked off third baseman Logan Forsythe ’s glove for an error. Hill retired the next three batters. Internet speed is worst and many of my friends including myself complaine … d about the same. We need to be in 12 months contract with ATT internet and no other internet options like Xfinity. I am very happy to be in this apartment by renewing the lease for 1 more year but really worried with Att service. Manager Jennifer is so kind and understand all of your concerns.
