Villa Del Sol Apartments - Anaheim, California

Rent-wise, it's pretty good (but then again, the less amenities, the lower the rent). Landscaping looks decent and is well maintained. No central a/c (it's also old-looking, and the air flow is poor), no swimming pool (the owners had it covered). Old kitchen unit. The only ceiling fan is in the dining room. Apartments have aluminum windows (doesn't help much when it's hot outside). The tenants are nice, the complex is mostly noise-free (this apt complex is not ideal for people who like to party and be loud). Unfortunately, maintenance employees aren 't around all the time and it could sometimes take more than a day for them to fix any problem you might have. Floor level apartments seem to have lizard and cockroach problems (I'm on the 2nd floor and have only seen a couple of spiders, and a house centipede). Office employees rarely answer their phone. I'd recommend living here, only if you plan on having a fan or two in each room and don't mind any of t...

Steve Brown Apartments - Madison, Wisconsin

Let me tell you something as a current resident in Lucky. I have dealt with many property management companies , Forward Management by far being the worst in the city, and I do not see any of these bad things happening here. The staff, and I mean all of them, are accessible, helpful, and friendly. Three years ago I was living in the Woodman's parking lot and I built my businesses up to the point that I can now afford a penthouse at Lucky. I can also afford several lawyers and do have them. If Lucky stepped one foot out of line you bet they would be in court by me or anyone else up here most likely. When you pay that much for an apartment you have the right to expect world class service (and believe me although the Lucky Apartments may be more expensive than other properties in town, they are definitely worth the added expense and a steal for the quality and attention to detail). Everything from the floors to the appliances are top of the line. But it goes beyond physical qualit...

FORT WORTH (CBS11) – A Fort Worth woman said she paid thousands of dollars for electricity she never used. Tina Hudson was billed more than $8,000 over two years for electricity. Tina Hudson  (CBS11) Hudson said she knew her electric bills were too high, but the electric company and the apartment complex kept blaming each other, so she kept paying. “Four hundred and forty-eight dollars,” said Hudson, “$489… I think $501 might have been my highest bill.” Hudson said she expected higher power bills in the summer, but not all year long. Tina Hudson’s electricity bills (CBS11) She didn’t own a washer or dryer and her dishwasher was broken, so Hudson couldn’t understand why her electricity usage was so high. She said she complained to workers in the property office at the La Jolla Terrace Apartments at least once a month, but Hudson said the employees would just blame the power company. In 28 months, she paid $8,426 for electricity. “I would literally cry sometimes because I am here b...
