Top 10 Rippers Worse Than Jack

Image
Crime Todd H Martin August 17, 2017 All of you know who Jack the Ripper is. Some of you know that the name comes from a letter to the police signed “Jack the Ripper” by the purported killer. But why “ripper”? A ripper is “a tool that is used to tear or break something,” and the victims were actually torn open. After Jack’s killings, however, “ripper” came to mean “a murderer who mutilates victims’ bodies.” You can thank the media for that. Just like “gate” is added to any political scandal, the press now calls any killer who is bloody enough a ripper. It makes for a great headline because of the fear the word “ripper” conjures in the public’s mind. If the victims are prostitutes, so much the better. Over the last 100 years, the press has invoked “ripper” numerous times. But many of these rippers killed more than Jack did—some a lot more. Here is a list of serial killers more deadly than Jack with his five confirmed murders. 10 Ypsilanti RipperSeven Victims Before Ted Bundy slaughtere...

Rolling Executed By Chris Tisch, Tamara Lush and Shannon Colavecchio-Van Sickler Times Staff Writers STARKE – The drab brown curtain between killer and survivors opened at 5:59 p.m. Wednesday. Danny Rolling lay on a gurney. A prison official asked Florida 's most notorious serial killer since Ted Bundy if he had a last statement. "None greater than thee, Oh Lord, none greater than thee." Family members of his eight victims - five in Florida and three he was linked to in Louisiana - clutched each other, rolled their eyes or shook their heads. One family member later ...

Arlington Police Investigate Double Murder At Stone Canyon Apartments « CBS Dallas / Fort Worth

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – Police in Arlington say they’re looking for answers in what they have determined is a double murder on the city’s north side. Two bodies were found at the Stone Canyon Apartments just before noon Saturday. “Nothing points to a murder-suicide, it appears this is a double homicide ,” according to Arlington police Lt . Christopher Cook. Police say a family member discovered the victims. A door was partly open. An adult man and adult woman were dead inside. “It appears potentially that the apartment had been ransacked inside and so we’re waiting for the medical examiner and some of our other detectives to make the scene before we actually process the inside of the scene,” said Lt. Cook. As they waited, officers talked to grieving family members to determine who the victims are, if they even lived in the apartment, and if anyone might want to harm them. The crime shook up neighbors, who say it is out or character for this normally quiet, peaceful area. Arlington...

Sixteen-year-old Natalie Cano-Partida was told she would at least get to tell her family goodbye. When she didn't act quickly enough, her killers took the cell phone they had offered her and proceeded with their grim business - shooting her and 15-year-old Derek Greer at close range during a dual execution at a country roadside near Fountain. They died over a stolen purse, according to previously sealed court documents released Thursday . The shocking account of the teens' March 11 slayings, made public on orders from an El Paso County judge , marks the first public indication that the Coronado High School students died of multiple gunshot wounds at the same remote location where their bodies were found March 12 - off Old Pueblo Road, a place apparently chosen at random during a harrowing abduction that began in Colorado Springs . Cano-Partida was the target, and Greer was "only murdered because he was with (her)," one of the suspects told police . The records s...
