Envy Apartment

A College Station man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after police say he was arrested on an assault charge and then used his head to bust out a window in a police vehicle. According to College Station police , a woman called around 3:20 p.m. Wednesday and reported she could hear fighting coming from next door. Officers responded to an apartment complex in the 1700 block of Southwest Parkway and found a man with a broken jaw. Police arrested a 24-year-old man. Police say as they were preparing to place the man into a patrol car, an officer tried to remove his necklace, which is a standard policy. A report notes the man became combative and as he thrashed about, he bashed his skull into the passenger window of the patrol vehicle , which created a six-inch hole in the glass. The man is charged with assault family violence and criminal mischief, both misdemeanors. The man is being held in the Brazos County Jail on $7,000 bond.

●On July 24 a resident brought found property to the Riverview police station . The resident found a red box containing traffic triangles along the side of westbound King Road . ●A resident at American House Riverview Senior Living , 20300 Fort St., reported $350 stolen from a dresser in his bedroom. He reported the theft July 24 and said it occurred during the previous week. ●Hawkins Trucking, 17800 W. Jefferson, reported the theft of 26 batteries from its fleet of semitrucks. The thefts were reported to police shortly after 4:30 a.m. Aug. 3. The owner said the batteries were disconnected properly and none of the battery cables were cut. Approximately 18 of the batteries were gel batteries, valued at $280 apiece; and eight batteries were standard batteries valued at $130 each. Additionally, a set of ignition keys for one of the trucks was missing. The main gate to the property was left open throughout the night.
