UPDATE: The fire at Tivoli Apartments has been declared as an accidental fire with an undetermined cause, stated by Seminole County public information officer Paula Thompson . The Seminole Building Official determined the fire- damaged apartment building is unsafe to enter. Advertisement “This is primarily due to the thousands of gallons of water utilized during extinguishment of the fire that creates a potential risk for a ceiling collapse that could have hundreds of pounds of weight falling on someone inside the structure,” reads a statement released by Seminole County Fire Department . The building has been handed back over to Tivoli property management . The American Red Cross , University of Central Florida and Tivoli Property Management are working to relocate residents. COLLEGE STATION - 21 people are without a place to live Monday night after an early morning apartment fire caused major damage at the Campus View Apartments in College Station . Fire officials announced late Monday afternoon the cause of the fire was related to a heating unit located in the ceiling of an upstairs apartment . News 3 looks at why the fire spread so quickly. THREE OAKS – No injuries were reported in an early morning fire that caused the evacuation of a 16-unit, two- story apartment building in Three Oaks on Saturday, Aug. 19. Fire Chief David Flick said the alarm of a structure fired came in at 5:40 a.m. and the middle section of the roof was engulfed in flames when crews arrived at the Hidden Harbor Villas (formerly Oak Tree Apartments ) at 305 W. Dozens of Westbury residents were displaced when a fire burned through their two- story apartment building Saturday afternoon , fire officials said. About 30 people living in the building in the Westwood Village complex on Brush Hollow Road were not able to return to their apartments. MURRIETA, CA — A Temecula woman was arrested Tuesday night for suspicion of driving under the influence after reportedly plowing into a Murrieta apartment complex and creating havoc for the building's residents, according to police. The Murrieta Police Department was called at 8:49 p.m. to the report of a vehicle that crashed into the housing unit near Murrieta Hot Springs Road and Calle Del Lago . Responding officers, along with crews from Murrieta Fire and Rescue, found the woman trapped inside her white, four-door vehicle that was three feet off the ground and wedged into the corner of the building, police said. The driver, Nichole Winters, 41 of Temecula, was extricated from the sedan and determined by officers to be under the influence of alcohol, the agency said. NORFOLK, VA. (WVEC) -- Seventeen people are without a home following a two-alarm fire at a Norfolk apartment on Friday. Crews received a call at 11:15 a.m. at the 7100 block of Sewell Point Road . A woman inside the apartment smelled smoke , and got out safely, along with her 5-year-old grandson.  As she got out of the building, she alert neighboring residents of the fire. Firefighters arrived minutes later, and saw heavy smoke coming from the second floor of the two- story apartment building . The severity of the fire led for a second alarm to be called for additional fire crews , but fortunately, they were able to contain the fire to a single building. No injuries are reported. Norfolk Fire-Rescue said the fire was brought under control at 12:30 p.m. About 45 firefighters responded to the fire. In total, the fire affected eight apartment units, displacing 17 people total . YORKTOWN, Va. – Crews responded to a fire at the Woods of Yorktown Apartment Complex at 2801 Old Williamsburg Road. When units arrived, smoke was coming from the roof of the building. Firefighters found a fire in the attic area of one of the apartments. They saw smoke throughout the attic and associated areas. The fire was contained to the attic and quickly extinguished. There were no injuries. Occupants from two of the apartments are displaced and the American Red Cross is providing assistance. Six families were forced from their residences but were uninjured from a two- alarm fire Tuesday afternoon that caused heavy damage to a four-plex in the Crosswinds Apartments complex in eastern Lawrence . Lawrence/Douglas Fire Medical Division Chief Justin Temple said units were dispatched to a fire at 5:04 p.m. Tuesday at 1312 Crosswinds Court. Firefighters arrived to find an active fire at the four-plex, which was home to six families. Residents home at the time of the fire were evacuating from their apartments when firefighters arrived, he said. Firefighters did assist in retrieving pets from the apartments. There were no injuries from the fire to the residents or firefighters, Temple said. Firefighters first entered the structure to battle the blaze, but conditions forced them to leave the building to fight the fire in an exterior defensive mode , Temple said. Firefighters responded to the blaze at an apartment building along the 1100 block of Hampton Avenue just before 4:30 a.m. and said flames could be seen coming from the building. VERO BEACH — Seven people have been displaced due to a fire that started in building 12 around 5:30 p.m. at Shadowbrook Apartments on 16th Street in Vero Beach. There were no known injuries. Two separate families in the building have been displaced - one because of the fire, the other due to smoke damage. The American Red Cross is on scene to assess what help the families will need. The fire started in the kitchen and was contained to a single unit. Smoke spread through some of the 10-unit building, according to the battalion chief on scene. The official cause is being investigated but the tenants in the unit told emergency dispatchers it was a grease fire. Five engines, a ladder truck, and one ambulance responded to the fire.
