A 9-year-old boy abducted by his father after the slaying of his mother – which prompted an Amber Alert – was in protective custody Wednesday after police shot and killed the man in Encino. The officer- involved shooting occurred about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday on the 5500 block of Lindley Avenue near Killion Street, said Los Angeles Police Department Deputy Chief Justin Eisenberg . Konstantin Morozov, 48, brought his son, Daniel Morozov, to a friend’s apartment, and police found them after receiving a tip, Eisenberg said. The elder Morozov, who was suspected of fatally shooting Daniel ’s mother and then abducting the boy Monday in Santa Maria in northern Santa Barbara County , emerged from the apartment and confronted officers, prompting an officer-involved shooting, Eisenberg said. ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Residents of an east Albany apartment complex are scared after bullets flew into their homes. Police said that at least four apartments were hit by bullets Tuesday night. 15 people and many children were in those homes. Fortunately, no one was hurt.  Many of the shooting victims contacted WALB , saying they need help. The residents told us they have heard gunshots for several nights, but last night's was by far the worst. A bullet went through one woman's apartment window around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday. "We heard gunshots. Then we laid on the floor. A few seconds after that we heard the window shatter.  And we just crawled into the kid's room," said a resident who did not want to be identified. The bullets missed her and her two young daughters. In the daylight, police gathered shell casings and evidence. RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio Custody dispute, Chestnut Drive: Officers responded to the Loganberry apartment parking lot Aug . 13 after a woman reported her child's father kidnapped her son. When they arrived, the child, 4, was with her and another woman. She was advised to take her son and go home, as officers went to speak with the father and his girlfriend, who were yelling towards them. Both of them were very uncooperative in explaining the events as they had occurred. It was later learned the child's mother, a 23-year-old Cleveland Heights woman , had falsely identified herself and had an active warrant in the city. A local drug lord demanded that Raxcaco and his chaperone pay $800 for safe passage across the border, where criminal gangs ferry humans and drugs across daily, and where police presence is almost non-existent, he said in an interview with AL.com. Poor and desperate to reach the U.S., Raxcaco was detained in a hotel in the Mexican region of Senora for a day until his aunt in Semmes, Alabama, gathered the money for the drug lord.
