Kolkata: In a shocking incident, a 23-year-old air hostess passed away in the wee hours of Wednesday after falling off her third floor apartment located in Keshtopur in the northern fringes of Kolkata. Identified as Khongsit Clara , the flight attendant with IndiGo Airlines, died under mysterious circumstances. She was found in a pool of blood on the ground floor of the complex by a local resident who was on a scooter. Police have started investigating the case to determine whether it was an accident, a murder or suicide. Two of Clara's friends were found in her apartment after the late night party hosted at Khongsit's residence. The friends reportedly told police that they were sleeping and did not know how Clara fell off the window. It is learnt that neighbours told police that Clara had reached the apartment with two of her friends in an app cab a little before midnight. KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — The investigation into the fire that killed two people in a Kentwood apartment Friday morning centers on two questions: What cause the fire and did smoke detectors go off? For most of the residents of the building at Wingate Apartment complex , the first sign of trouble came with a panicked, middle of the night warning. “The window was opened and we heard a woman screaming there is a fire! There is a fire,” said Rachel Dotson-Hackworth, who lives next to the building where the fire happened. Kentwood firefighters arrived in minutes and pulled the victims from the lower level apartment , but it was too late. The victims have been identified as Mary Hopkins, 51 and 61-year-old Edward Newhouse who lived in the apartment together. Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire, which started in a bed. Nearly all residents of the McPherson Park senior housing complex have returned to their residences after a kitchen fire broke out in an apartment Friday night , a Gloucester Housing Authority administrator said Monday. A woman sleeping next to her boyfriend was sexually assaulted Thursday by a strange man in her apartment, San Diego police said. The brazen crime occurred just before 2 a.m. on India Street in the Little Italy neighborhood downtown . Police released a composite sketch of the suspect, along with two pictures of a man from surveillance videos whom they believe may be the suspect. Police said that at least four apartments were hit by bullets Tuesday night. 15 people and many children were in those homes. Fortunately, no one was hurt.  Many of the shooting victims contacted WALB , saying they need help.
