The management (if you can call them that) are horrible! They are so lazy and unprofessional and you have to harass them to get anything done. The office manager comes and go as she pleases. They never give the tenants notices if they are going to leave early or take a day off. The lady in the office seriously locks the door and sleeps all day at her desk. You walk in the back door and see the drool running down her face. Unbelievable! I have lived in a lot of apartments, and the response and accountability of Shadowbrook is by far the worse I have ever encountered. So I've parked near a shopping center and if you even plan to park your car across the street (fairview) though streets are private and can get cited. NEWARK — The Pavilion and Colonnade apartments are made up of three towering Newark high -rises known for their stately glass windows with New York City views . The buildings are still striking on the outside even though their glory days are clearly gone. They are close to most things a tenant could want in downtown Newark. Let me tell you something as a current resident in Lucky. I have dealt with many property management companies , Forward Management by far being the worst in the city, and I do not see any of these bad things happening here. The staff, and I mean all of them, are accessible, helpful, and friendly. Three years ago I was living in the Woodman's parking lot and I built my businesses up to the point that I can now afford a penthouse at Lucky. I can also afford several lawyers and do have them. If Lucky stepped one foot out of line you bet they would be in court by me or anyone else up here most likely. When you pay that much for an apartment you have the right to expect world class service (and believe me although the Lucky Apartments may be more expensive than other properties in town, they are definitely worth the added expense and a steal for the quality and attention to detail).
